5 Day Idea Incubator Camp (Sampler)
Make something awesome, create your own inventions and collaborate with others! We aim to create a transformative experience for kids to empower them to be the leaders of tomorrow with the skills and mindsets to create a better world.
In our Idea Incubator Camps, kids will dive into our three core STEM topics (Coding, Robotics and Minecraft) to propel their ideas, help them create something awesome and realize their full potential.
In Coding, kids will use Scratch and Stencyl to design their own video game and app. Fundamentals of game design will be taught in Scratch and kids will be able to take it up a notch as they progress in Stencyl, where they will be able to make and launch their game! They will learn about game design, graphic design, animation, and how to test and launch their games.
By programming Arduinos, kids can bring their out-of-the-box musical inventions to life in our Robotics days. Coding through a block-based language, Ardublock, kids will get hands-on as they craft their creations. Kids will work with buzzers, sensors, motors and more. They may make instruments that spin, light up or even make a theremin!
In our Minecraft foundational day, collaboration and sharing skillsets with other students are key. As a team, they will work creatively (e.g. 3D design from the scale of pixels to entire digital worlds), learning technical skills, as they progress through the mechanics of Minecraft, and bolster their social skills through compromise and conflict resolution within their virtual and classroom community.

Does my child need experience coding or with Arduinos?
Our classes are open to new and experienced kids of all backgrounds. With our small ratio of 1 instructor for every 8 kids, our instructors will be able to work with each child’s individual needs. We go over robotics fundamentals and may hold breakout sessions for beginners and advanced students.
Do we have to bring our own laptop and supplies?
We will provide all the materials needed for the program and activities, which include laptops, Arduinos, mics, wires and more.
What will my kid make?
Kids will create robotic inventions using sound. Kids are in charge of their own projects, from start to finish, and can design their own creations. Some past robotics projections include: cat alarms, voice records and sound machines that can play a multitude of notes! There are no physical take-aways in the program, as materials are reused and re-purposed for future students. Kids will leave with a comprehensive understanding of robotics, design and electronics and the actual code used to program the Arduinos.
