MakerKids Inc. (“MakerKids”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. The following policy describes how we collect, store, use and distribute information about users of our website, www.makerkids.com and of our MakerKids Programs (together “the Services”) which are provided subject to any terms of use we provide including our Assumption of Risk and Release for participants in our Maker Kids Programs.
Our goal is to collect, use and disclose only that information reasonably required to enable us to provide the Services, to maintain our customer/visitor lists and/or to respond to inquiries or feedback and for other purposes further described in this Privacy Policy. If you have provided us with contact information, we will use it only for the purposes for which we have collected it, unless you agree that we may disclose it to other third parties (subject to the exclusions we have listed below). Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Use.
By accessing or using the Services, you consent to us collecting and using personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any terms of this Privacy Policy, do not use the Services.
Collection of Personal Information
We may collect personally identifiable information, such as, but not limited to, your name, address, e-mail address, children’s school information, credit card or other payment information (“Personal Information”). Personal Information is collected in a number of ways such as if you sign up for an account to use the Services, or if you contact us to receive communications, updates, and information from us about our products and services. At the time of collection we will set out clearly the information that we are collecting and the purposes for which we will use it. It is always your choice whether or not to provide personal information. If you choose not to provide requested Personal Information, you may not be able to use certain features of the Services and you may not be able to engage in certain activities or transactions through the Services (for example, participating in a MakerKids Program).
We may also automatically receive general information that is contained in iserver log files such as Users’ IP addresses and cookie information. When the visitor revisits the Website, we may recognize the visitor by their Internet cookie and customize the visitor’s experience according to their specific needs. Internet cookies may be declined by using the appropriate feature of the User’s Web client software, if available.
We may also retain any messages you send through the Service (for example, requests for information about MakerKids Programs). Not all information collected from Users constitutes Personal Information; however, such information may be associated with personally identifiable information provided to us by Users.
Usage of Information
Use within MakerKids Programs. We may use your Personal Information to check in your child and ensure that payment is on file. We also may use it to notify you of any changes to MakerKids Programs timing or otherwise.
General Use by Us. We may use your Personal Information to contact and correspond with you regarding offerings of new products and services (if you have opted in to receive such updates); to enable, facilitate and enhance your use of the Services and to meet legal and regulatory requirements. The information submitted to us may also be used for conducting research in website productivity, marketing, advertising and effectiveness of the Services.
Subject to the Important Exceptions below, Users’ Personal Information will not be used for any purpose other than those mentioned herein without your consent.
Notifications. We may use your contact information to send you Service-related notices, including any notices
required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail, and to send you notifications of activity on the Service.
We may also use your email address to send you other messages, such as changes to features of the Service and special offers. If you do not want to receive such email messages, you may opt out or change your account preferences. Opting out may prevent you from receiving email messages regarding updates, improvements, or offers.
Important Exceptions

Law & Compliance
Our servers are located at 2241 Dundas St W, Toronto, Ontario M6R1X6. Accordingly your Personal Information may be available to the government or government agencies in Canada and your information may be accessed by the government or agencies of Canada under a lawful order, irrespective of the safeguards we have put in place for the protection of your Personal Information.

of these third parties are not under our control and may differ from ours. The use of any information that you may provide to any third party, or the use of “cookie” technology by any third party, will be governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the website that you are visiting. Right to Change Privacy Policy
Any non-material change (such as clarifications) to this Privacy Policy will become effective on the date the change is posted and any material changes will become effective 10 days from their posting on www.makerkids.com. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Information that we have about you and your account and will apply to information collected from the date of the posting of the revised Privacy Policy as well as to existing information held by us. The date on which the latest update was made is indicated at the top of this document. We recommend that you print a copy of this Privacy Policy for your reference and revisit this policy from time to time to ensure you are aware of any changes. Your continued use of the Services will signify your acceptance of any changes.
