Mini Makers

Welcome mini MakerKids! This program is designed for little ones who like to think big. Kids will learn how to create and make using various platforms and gadgets. Kids will be exposed to both technical and 21st-century skills, like creativity and confidence. Based on STEM education, kids will build a strong foundation for out-of-the-box thinking, coding and how computers work. Using logic and design, kids will make something amazing and out of this world.

Mini Innovators

This class is for makers who love video games and Lego! On a rotating schedule, each week will switch between Minecraft and Lego robotics, 2 popular and familiar platforms many little ones love. Students will learn important fundamental computer skills, introductory coding and circuitry by using Minecraft’s in game command system and Redstone. Additionally, students will learn basic coding and mechanical engineering concepts through the use of LEGO Education’s SPIKE Robotics kits. Students will build and modify their robots to achieve a particular task and then code them in a Scratch based block coding system to bring their robots to life!
