This year, the holiday season is looking different. From family gatherings to holiday parties, things just aren’t the way we’re used to them. But, that doesn’t mean they still can’t be fun. In fact, sometimes thinking out of the box can bring new memories as we find unique ways of doing things.

One of these things comes in the way of a holiday party for your child. Many kids still want to get together, but can’t do so in person. With a virtual holiday party from MakerKids, kids can see their friends and work on some cool projects at the same time.

Your child can choose a coding, robotics, or Minecraft theme. Each party is two hours long and can accommodate anywhere from 10 to 30 kids. You can schedule one after school during the week or on the weekends. Whichever timeframe you choose, you will have the help of amazing instructors. They will help to guide the children and encourage them with their projects. There is always a ratio of at least one instructor to every ten children, or better.

Children ages 6-13 can participate. Each party is geared toward the age group of children in the party. This helps to make sure kids are doing projects that are not too easy or too hard for them. Each virtual classroom is private and materials for all the activities are provided.

When you book a virtual holiday party with MakerKids, your child will choose coding, robotics, or Minecraft. Let’s take a brief look at what each party includes.

During a coding holiday party, kids can learn how to code their own video games. They learn how to make a fully functional arcade game.

Younger kids taking part in a robotics party will learn how to make virtual robotic pets while older kids will work on making a virtual light show.

For the Minecraft parties, younger kids will work together to create a zoo while older kids will work on creating an amusement park. Both projects are fun and interactive.

In our mini-makers parties, kids learn how to create using various platforms. An example of one of these parties comes in the way of kids learning about how electricity plays a role in areas like coding, robotics, and Minecraft.

For a virtual holiday party, an internet connection, working microphone, and speakers, laptop or desktop computer, keyboard, mouse, and Chrome browser are all needed. A webcam is optional.
