Unleash Your Child’s Potential

Rated #1 Kids Programs (Toronto Life Magazine)

What do Steve Jobs, Sergey Brin and Bill Gates have in common in their educational background?

No, they didn’t all go to Ivy League universities – but they all took technology classes when they were kids.

MakerKids runs virtual classes on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). But what we’re really all about is helping kids develop the skills and confidence to become innovators, inventors, and entrepreneurs.

Graduates of our programs have started their own businesses, presented their projects on national TV, and been featured in magazines. What will your child create?

Your Child Will Learn:

21st century skills

Kids have gone from having emotional or academic difficulties to leading clubs, improving their marks, and taking on more responsibility and ownership at home.

Technical skills

Your kids will learn from NASA-educated entrepreneurs, teachers and engineers. These professional skills will help them become leaders in their future careers.

Interpersonal skills

Kids learn emotional management techniques, persistence, resilience, change-making skills, and a positive relationship with technology.

Choose one of our 3 topics: Robotics, Coding or Minecraft

Kids will learn everything they need to know to code their very own game: character development, storyboarding, animation, environment and level design, beta testing and, of course, coding.

Our coding programs are interdisciplinary. Programs also involve design, logic, math, computer skills, teamwork and creativity

Design the world around you! In our Robotics programs, kids will design, plan, program, and build electronic inventions while using an Arduino and learning how to code. Kids will better understand how everyday objects around them work and will have the opportunity to bring their ideas to life.

An Arduino is a microcontroller and is used by industry professionals. It was even used to prototype the Square credit card reader!

In our Minecraft programs, kids learn how to make Minecraft even more awesome, how computers and servers work, and core computer programming concepts while collaborating with kids equally excited about Minecraft.

They learn technical and critical soft skills, like effective communication and conflict resolution.

Summer Camps Toronto

“My boys flourish here and look forward to it every week. They show social skills improvement and more confidence since coming to MakerKids and finding their “tribe.” Happy children make me a happy and grateful mom. Thanks MakerKids for creating programs for my quirky, “outside the box thinking” boys.”

“MakerKids was a great experience for my kids this summer. One of my sons did 4 different weeks and each was a different program. Jacob loved MakerKids and learned a great deal about electronics and computer programming. These programs are the way if the future. It really was a very positive experience for him as well as our younger son who joined him for one of the weeks.  I recommend MakerKids to anyone whose kids want to try something different, it is just great!”
