In celebration of the Curiosity Rover’s arrival on Mars, Maker Kids was in attendance at Toronto’s Mars Party at hotel Ocho! It was a huge success!
The York University rover team was there, too with their recently prize winning rover.
Maker Kids Chief Brainstormer Marianne helped run the early evening kids event. They all made their own mars landers, complete with parachutes and real eggs protected inside.
When they were ready, they dropped them off the second floor into the hotel bar atrium. Congratulations on all the safe landings!
A HUGE thanks to Derek and Ron from Site3. Our 3D printer broke 2 days before the event. They swooped in with their 3D printers, and made all kinds of Martian space ships and Mars surface renderings to give out to the kids as prizes.
